Growing Lavender
On The Ranch we using only natural and organic growing practices, we grow 11 different varieties of lavender plants, which we use for fresh and dried bouquets and our lavender essential oil.
Pure essential lavender oil
With our still located on-site at The Ranch, it means we can extract the pure oil within hours of the Lavender being cut. The oil is extracted by steam distillation in small batches using a traditional hand-forged copper still, giving us 100% pure essential lavender oil.
Hand Harvested Lavender
Most of the lavender we harvest is used in the distillation of our essential oils. Some lavender is bundled for fresh bouquets and the rest is taken to our drying shed where it is bundled and hung upside down to be dried for future use in dried bouquets, sachets, wreaths etc.
Propagating
On The Ranch we have several different cultivars of lavender. Lavender must be propagated through cuttings to be true to its cultivar. We propagate our own plants to keep everything we make locally sourced and organically sustainable
